Hi I bet no one remembers me but i left in 2004 and still think about my old friends back there they are the new yr6 now.

i attended st albans from 1992- 2000 it looks like it has changed alot from then as have most of the teaching staff but still a few familer names in there! ive just started York St Johns university. Wish i was back there having free time on a friday afternoon with mr finney if we were good and didnt get three ticks on the board, and him playing songs on his guitar can still sing most or of them now or at least bits from them all, at least ive not forgotten what a simile is, and doing huge sowings with mrs dawe that took us more than a year to finish so we got to go back in to the class and keep slogging away at them, hope mrs johnston is still doing scotish dancing during pe with you all its was sooooooo much fun! and you still go to menai with 'peg leg'! i could keep on all day about all the good times i had while i was there Enjoy it while u can! I believe my grandfather and my mum went to St Albans. My grandfather was born in 1905 and would have been there around 1910 - 1914 and my mum in the mid 1930s.
I have a photo of my grandfather's class which I will e-mail when I can borrow a copy of it to scan.
I just wanted to check whether this is the school. My grandfather lived and was born in Bucklow. His father was drowned in the Bridgewater canal and so my grandfather then had to go and live in Knock.
My mum has not got a photo of her father as he died of TB in 1933. If I could get an old school photo of him, that would be wonderful.
Please advise if this is the school.

why isnt there any curriculum?
* Lots of reasons. The main one is that the site gives you options and you have to change them. It would take too much time and work for the two children to update everything, but we will see.

We have had photographs of the teachers, then they were changed to drawings made by the children. This year the Website Editors decided to use the digital camera and an art package to try and disguise them.

Enjoyed your site, brings back many memories. I was one of a family of eight children that all attended St Albans. My daughters, Helen & Julie attended as have my grandchildren too. It's still a great school and a credit to Miss Bailey(an old girl herself!) and her staff. I will try and supply some photo's and recollections of many years of St Albans.
